CNC/Set-up Operator

BC Machining LLC in Brasstown, NC is currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled CNC Set-up/Operator.  Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision while performing set-ups on CNC lathes and mills.  This job will require someone who is highly motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and working to very tight tolerances.  You must be highly motivated for self-improvement and have the desire to improve the company.

  • QC or CMM experience is a plus
  • Programming experience is a plus

General Office Clerk/Bookkeeper/Shop Assistant

We are looking to hire a General Office Clerk/Bookkeeper/Shop Assistant.  Self-motivated, hard working, extremely well organized and displays copious amounts of common sense.  Will answer phones, liaise with our customers, order materials, enter payroll, pay vendors, enter information into accounting software, create presentations, perform internet research, clean office and shop, pack and ship parts, make deliveries, and much more.  This is a small business, so you must be willing to wear many hats and complete myriad tasks.

The main purpose of this job is to work in the office, however, there may be physical work required frequently on the shop floor (e.g. washing or deburring parts, packing and shipping boxes, and cleaning.)  You must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time and lift boxes up to 30 lbs without issue.   

This is a full-time position, working normal daytime business hours.  We offer a competitive wage, and plenty of opportunity for growth for the right candidate.  We provide paid holidays, health insurance, and 401k plan.

If you have experience with Microsoft Access this is a definite plus!

Non-negotiable Requirements:

  1. Bookkeeping and/or accounting software experience.  Please do not apply if you do not have this experience.
  2. Experience working with Excel.  (Basic to intermediate skills with spreadsheets; such as creating formulae, creating charts, etc.  Expert level experience ((pivot tables, macros, programming)) is a definite plus!)
  3. Excellent organizational skills and lots of common sense
  4. Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to internal and external parties
  5. Takes initiative, asks questions, and isn’t afraid to speak up and communicate effectively
  6. Thick-skinned (You will be working in a machine shop.)
